New Boundary Approved for Tyler
At the February 5, 2014, School Board meeting, which can be viewed online at http://www.pwcstv.com/show.php?id=16, the School Board voted unanimously to set the attendance area boundary for the "Haymarket Drive" Elementary School as was demarcated in Plan 1.1B. The following motion was put forth by Vice-Chairman Trenum (Brentsville District):

"That the Prince William County School Board approve Boundary Plan 1.1B prepared by the "Haymarket Drive" Elementary School Boundary Planning Committee; and, ii. rising fifth graders at the affected schools be permitted to remain at their present elementary school for the 2014-15 school year, providing their own transportation and iii. that all current K - 4 students may stay at their current school providing their own transportation if the principal determines that there is space available."

Transfer requests will be approved on a first come basis as long as space permits.  You may pick up your transfer request form in Tyler's front office or print it directly:
Help Alleviate Overcrowded Parking Lot
You may have noticed a significant increase in the volume of our carpool line and parking lot this year.  Many mornings, the line is stretched down John Marshall Highway and onto Catharpin Road.  If you are able to, please have your child ride the school bus each day.  This will assist with reducing the volume in our parking lot and keeping everyone on the road safe.  Also, students who ride the school bus are never marked tardy.  Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe!

Red Grammer Visits Tyler!
The students had a blast learning about respect, responsibility, acceptance, and valuing diversity when Red Grammer came to Tyler on Friday, January 10th.
