October 20 PWCS Expo Offers Help for Student/Family Concerns
Ever worry about a child with anxiety and fears, or who is facing a tough family situation? Concerned about Attention Deficit Disorder, specific behaviors, depression, stress, or school problems?
You are not alone. And Prince William County Public Schools can help.

Come to a free PWCS Mental Health Expo on Monday, October 20, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Kelly Leadership Center in Manassas to discover a wealth of resources to help your student thrive. Meet with school counselors, learn about free services for students and families, or simply check out what the School Division offers your family and community.

Nearly one in four children will experience depression in his or her lifetime. Others may show serious warning signs, or simply need help getting through tough times.

Whatever challenges students may face, protecting their mental health is just another part of caring for your family.
Do not miss a special opportunity to discover what good mental health means, and the resources that can help your schools help you.

SAFETY ALERT
Don’t Let Removal of Haymarket Overpass Threaten Student Safety
Closing of the Old Carolina/Jefferson Street overpass (September 21) eliminates a popular student pathway. But Route 15 is no place for pedestrians and cyclists.  Urge students to stay safe and avoid this crowded and dangerous route when not in motorized vehicles.
