Congratulations to our Newest Safety Patrols
Tyler held its induction ceremony for our Safety Patrols on Wednesday, October 8th.  Safety Patrols are selected based on their strong academic standing, ability to consistently demonstrate the 6 pillars of character, as well as leadership skills.  Congratulations to our 5th grade students selected for this prestigious position!  The Safety Patrols are sponsored by Senora McGraw, Tyler's Spanish teacher.
International Walk To School Day
Tyler Elementary participated in International Walk to School Day.  While we are not a traditional walking school, we were able to build in some activities to celebrate the day.  THANK YOU to the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue - Station 4 for supporting our event!

SAFETY ALERT
Don't Let Removal of Haymarket Overpass Threaten Student Safety
Closing of the Old Carolina/Jefferson Street overpass (September 21) eliminates a popular student pathway. But Route 15 is no place for pedestrians and cyclists. Urge students to stay safe and avoid this crowded and dangerous route when not in motorized vehicles.
